Because I had to endure three hours of the same film during discussion sections, I pulled out my computer and sat in the back of the class, outlining my Plan of Attack for my revisions on LOST. Gah. So much to do, and pretty much no energy to do any of it. But, yeah, I did come across how I plan on beefing up the male lead in the book (well, the one in the present-day thread). He's a funny guy, and likes to kid a lot, which I'm fairly certain doesn't come through at all in the story. Here's the problem: I'm not funny. Like, at all. This is probably more than obvious from everything else I write on here. Still, yeah, not funny. My sister's the funny one. It's kinda sad, actually. I hate it. I wish I could be all witty and tell funny stories that make people laugh, but I just can't do it. Which presents a problem: how does one go about making a character more funny, when the writer is incapable of being that way? I mean, I can put myself in most other situations without too much of a problem, but this one, I don't think will work. *sigh* I'm afraid this guy is doomed to being un-funny. There's got to be a how-to on the net somewhere, but I've yet to find it. Blah.
