Yikes, it's been way, way too long since I posted anything other than a book review! Lets just say that I've been so busy I don't know what I'm doing half the time. When things get like this I start thinking about those dumb variety-show acts where people spin plates on narrow sticks, and try to see how many they can get going at once. I think quite a few of my "plates" are beginning to wobble. Kinda freaky, really, but I'm surviving. My dissertation is creeping inexorably closer to completion. Sorta. I wish it were closer, but, hey, I'll take what I can get. Days like yesterday where I find myself spending the whole day formatting data kind of make me crazy :) So yeah, that, tutoring, home life, new interns, never-ending lab work, new samples, good grief, some days it never ends. Anyhow, I do try and sneak in a few minutes of writing here and there--I wish it were more. Hopefully I'll manage a bit more once I actually turn in my dissertation.
And then? I join the vast fields of over-educated unemployed folk, who won't be able to get a job at Target or a University. Dang, really looking forward to that!
