On another note, whew, has it been a crazy couple of weeks! Awesome, for sure, but definitely a little nuts :) Between moving, and the release of Travelers, I also had a really fun road trip with my bestie--we made it to Bandlands and Mt Rushmore, and a ton of sites in between. (If you really want to see some pics, check out my Instagram...yes, that's a shameless plug.) It's been a wonderful time and I'm sad to see if pass, especially as that means the school year is about to start, haha!
So, between it all, I managed to get my books all unpacked and into my new bookshelves. They are still in need of a bit more organizing, but they're all out of boxes for the first time in 3 years. And I am rather happy about that! Granted, I totally ran out of space and still have to figure out where I'm going to put my music and videos, but that's something I'll worry about later :) But, as I promised a few weeks ago, a few pics:

AFTER
Okay, so some of those photos aren't the best, but you get the idea. And yes, that is 4.5 bookcases full. I think I have too many books ;) This isn't even counting my work books, which are in my office on campus. But, yeah, lots of books, and lots of reading!!
I love it, I'm an organization freak so this made me very happy. And there's no such thing as too many books ;)
ReplyDeleteOooh! I love your office! Nicely done
ReplyDeleteI love bookcase pictures! I have the same problem: too many books, not enough shelves. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely, lovely! I'm a tad envious that you have your very own room for your writing. Congratulations on the release of Travelers!
ReplyDeleteOMG, what an awesome office. Surrounded by all those books, you can't help but be inspired! Now that I read on Kindle, I don't have any books to put on a shelf. So I don't have bookshelves--which means when I do go to a conference or something, there's no reason for me to get books signed!
ReplyDeleteThe books look lovely! How exciting to finally have them out. I loved seeing your pictures of your trip on fb- you saw some of my favorite places. Beautiful pictures (as always). :)
ReplyDeleteThe after shots are quite a transformation!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'll have to keep an eye out on my email for the notice... I have a rather odd habit of deleting emails in a rush!
Congrats to William. You settled in nicely. I love before and after pics like that.
ReplyDeleteMer, I am so jealous of your white bookcases! After I got my dark ones, I wish I'd went w/lighter ones (tho I still do like them). And I love that middle part w/the glass doors. Also the giant Festival of the Dead decal. Did I get that right? =) Thanks for sharing! (Oh, also jealous of that card catalog, I want to snag one of those some day)
