Hi! It's spring break here, even though spring has only sort of started to show her face--mostly by melting *most* of the snow :) Still, it's been lovely. And even though I'm still hard at work ("breaks" are for students...), my mom and sister came to visit for the weekend. We had a blast and I thought I'd share some of our adventures here.
Ever made a Dutch Baby pancake? So tasty! |
The walking bridge near campus--I love these locks! |
The tiny library downtown. I can't get over how cute it is! |
Totally adorable! |
My mom and sister didn't appreciate the temps. It was in the low 50's--almost sweltering for here. But their California blood called for lots and lots of down jackets, haha! |
And some lounging in the sun wherever they could find it. |
I love those little libraries too! Sounds like a lovely break. I chauffeured my kid around for play dates all last week. Spring is here and some days feel like early summer already!
ReplyDeleteThat library is adorbs!! (yuck, did I really just use that word?) And that pancake looks perfect for pouring all kinds of yummy stuff into. Glad you had fun w/your family!
ReplyDeleteCampus break weeks here are in February. Spring is slowly showing itself- the temperatures are hovering above or below the freezing mark, the sun's rays are doing their work on the snowpacks, and robins have started showing up here in the last few days.
ReplyDeleteThose temps would be balmy as far as I'm concerned! Terrific shots!
Dutch baby pancake sounds delish. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.
Enjoy spring!
That little library is adorable! I love that you have one in your area. The locks on the bridge are cool too! So glad you enjoyed some visitors during the student break. :) Loved seeing the photos. I don;t think I have ever heard of a Dutch Baby pancake! :
ReplyDeleteDutch Babies are my favorite. I've never made one because I would totally screw it up. It would be a Dutch Blob.
