What is in a name?
This is one of those things that was way easier as a kid--I remember making lists of names I liked better than my own. So, if anyone has some tips on this, I'd love to hear them!

Personally, I'd hold off on a pen name for as long as possible, because you might want to use your real name (much easier for signings and tax purposes), you might want a different one based upon the genre you're writing in, and you might change your mind, and then you've got a domain name for naught. As an unpublished writer, I wouldn't have a website -- just a spiffy looking blog with an ambiguous namelessness about it.
ReplyDeleteJust my 2 cents.
Thanks! You have a good point :-) All I'm thinking is that I want to be more "google-able" when my book goes on submission, and I know I'm going to have to use a pen name due to my day-job stuff. Good stuff to think about though!
