The delightful Beth & Kelly are hosting the Sweets BlogFest today and I had to get into the fun! Because, well, other than Halloween, Easter is a holiday that just screams tasty treats :) I don't know how many discussions on cadberry eggs and peeps I've had in the last few days. And chocolate bunnies were a long-time tradition growing up--generally to be devoured before a large dinner and otherwise eating way too much.
So, in accordance with the blogfest rules, I thought I'd mention my favorite sweet, and I'm going with the candy variety. (Hmm, something tells me I'm craving sugar while I'm writing this...) Well, it has to be chocolate related for me, and lately I've been loving dark chocolate (bordering on baking chocolate--the darker the better!) with sea salt. Something about the mix of sweet and salty just rocks!

OOh , sweets! Easter is around the corner, Was supposed to take part in the hop but couldn't. Next time I hope. My favourite treat: I really love the rabbit chocolate treats. I usually begin by nibbling the ears.. :D ah, Easter. Time to gorge in chocolate and not feel guilty about it. :)

DeleteA friend of mine sent me a box full of chocolate chips. And when I say a box, I mean a 10lb box full of chocolate! Definitely the sweetest birthday gift I've ever gotten, lol!

From time to time, I enjoy a piece of chocolate, as long as it has nuts inside!

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the contrast of sweet and salty. Someone once gave me a dark choc bar with orange pieces in it. I thought it would be weird, but it was great! Sometimes strange combinations just work! :-)
