- I've started book #4 of the Sary Society series. Oh, this book is going to be crazy to write! You'll be seeing some characters from previous books, including Ari, Tom, Julia, and Edison, Gabby and Jassen (who are featured in book #3) and a few new ones. So far it's being told from Marcus' point of view, and he's got some interesting secrets to tell.
- And if you ever wondered if Julia and Edison ended up together, well that might just come to light here!
- I'm slightly obsessed with all things pumpkin. I LOVE pumpkin flavor and have been attempting not to make all the recipes I keep seeing on Pinterest. Granted, I broke down last weekend and made muffins. They were tasty. And lasted about an hour.
- The weather is getting cooler, which means hot chocolate season is nearing!! This is the only thing I am excited about regarding the coming winter. Because otherwise, I know it's going to suck. I needs to move to warmer climes. This Cali girl doesn't do snow.
- Paperback book stuff is coming along. Slower than a herd of turtles, but coming. A MASSIVE thank you to all who signed up to help me out with some book blasting. I'll be in touch pronto, just waiting for things to actually get finished!
- I'm giving a midterm today. This is both exhausting, and also kind of fun. Some part of me loves to dole out a little work to my students, because it means I don't have to lecture for the day :)
Loving this! Makes me think of Colors Like Memories :) |
YAY! Can't wait for book #4! Beta reader, Beta reader, Beta reader!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my five:
1. Editing, editing, editing--but starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I've been off line so long I feel totally out of the loop. I'm having Twitter/Facebook withdrawal.
2. Jewelry making with my twin girls (8 years-old). It ought to be...interesting.
3. FOOTBALL!! My son (12) just started football this year (7th grade). I swore I'd never let him play, but miracles of miracles it's actually really fun to watch him play because I can see how much he loves it and he's wicked good (of course lol!)
4. Sleep. Too much editing and then trying to write at the same time leaves little time to sleep, especially when you throw in the kids' extracurricular activities. So I plan to get at least 7 hours of sleep even if I have to threaten everyone with their lives.
5. I saved the best for last. Enjoy some family time. We might go fishing at the pond down the road or we might just pop popcorn and smother it in butter and watch movies (it's supposed to rain) and play games. Whatever we do, we're gonna have some family time. It's long over due.
Oh and I have another one. I'll be not so patiently awaiting book #4 from one of my favorite authors!!
Michelle :)

We've missed you around the interwebs! I was beginning to wonder if your editing cave had, well, caved in or something :) I hope you have an awesome weekend, lots of sleep (more than 7 hours--seriously!) and some good family time. Oh, and you'll be seeing book #4, promise :) Right now though, wowza, it's a miserable read, lol!!
DeleteAnd Eva and David...I may have some words on the matter :)
Oh, I think I missed the book-blasting post. Depending on the date, I'd be happy to help out, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm looking forward to hot chocolate, too. )
I'll be emailing :) Thanks!!!
DeleteI'm like that w/muffins and cupcakes too. They don't last no time before I've scarfed them all up!
ReplyDeleteI try to avoiding making them too often for this reason, but sometimes it's unavoidable :)
DeleteAlways love an update post so we get to know the latest on all things Meradeth!
ReplyDeleteI'm chomping at the bit to read book three, and now there's going to be a book four? Can't wait!
I hear you, I'm not looking forward to winter either...groan. But you're right, we have to look on the bright side and think of all of the fabulous caffeinated beverages we can drink :-)
I'm always wary of random "me" posts, but I hope someone finds them somewhat interesting :)
DeleteYay for the fourth book in the series . I look Forward to read it. :) The weather is considerably cooler this side of the Pond. I'm waiting for the roasted chestnut Kiosk to make an appearance here in Vienna, usually in Autumn. And hot chocolate! YUM..hot chocolate and a book. Nothing beats that! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat 5s. :) Have a great Weekend, Mer! :)
Roasted chestnuts--that sounds awesome! I kind of wish we had that kind of thing around here :)
DeleteFridays are always a very welcome day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
You too!!
DeleteWe no longer give midterms where I am. It's just for college.
ReplyDeleteHappy writing.
I think my students would mutiny if their entire grade was based on just the final. Though I do wish I didn't have to grade them all!
DeleteLove the painting- the colors are so beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI love pumpkin things too!
Awesome that you are on book 4. It sounds SO exciting. Best of luck and hope the students did well on their midterm.
