Getting Words on Paper
This has been running through my head a ton lately. Even to the point where I made this, and made it my save-screen on my phone:
It's been difficult to find time lately. Travel. Family. The holidays. The end of last semester. Grants. Preparing for next semester.
Excuses galore!
It's rather amazing actually. I wouldn't trade a lot of it for anything, but I know I need to get myself in gear. And this is my second post on this same topic in as many weeks :) Can you tell what's on my mind? Anyhow, what's your favorite excuse for not getting your butt-in-chair?

I don't know if I have a favorite excuse but right now I find myself doing emails for the new house rather than writing. A new house is important but I need to find a way to do both. I'm getting cranky with lack of reading and writing. :)
ReplyDeleteKids. LOL! I guess that's a pretty good excuse when we home school. Regardless, I've made some epic progress in the last week and I'm counting my blessings to be moving again. Sometimes the brain needs a break.
ReplyDeleteI blame my kids. ;)
ReplyDeleteAt the beginning of the month, a virus was to blame. I was so sick! And now it's the weather's fault. Snow days and school delays.
ReplyDeleteAt present, I've got academic things using up so much of my time, and I'm getting over really being under the weather.
ReplyDeleteI'll blame housework and the day job, but I squeeze in the time during weekends.
ReplyDeleteMy day job is freelance writing, so if I'm not writing 2,000 words a day, I've got some angry clients! But I do force myself to work my own writing into that every single day because my goal is to someday write fiction full time. But there are days when I just can't write another word!
