I've really tried hard to remain neutral about the upcoming elections in the US on Tuesday. Well, at least online (in person I've had more than a few ranting conversations wherein I've let spew my utter hatred for the vile views of one of the candidates :) *ahem* I'll try to keep this neutral here, in the interest of allowing individuals to think what they want, but I want to remind all my state-side friends to get their votes in. It's important, in so many vital ways, to have your voice heard, no matter what you have to say. I mailed my ballot in weeks ago, so incredibly happy to be able to, and to support the candidate who I know will be an amazing President.
Another blog I follow had a mock up map of the United States, with each state marked not with their name but with short complaints of agony, like Make It Stop, No More, and Are We Being Punished?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm hoping it goes as expected and the Combover loses. I've got a blog scheduled for Saturday that I can't publish if he wins!
DeleteI have been trying to stay neutral online too. Not easy with so many heated comments all the time. I am definitely getting out there and voting tomorrow. My husband and I are heading to the polls as soon as he gets home from work. :) Glad to hear you have voted!
ReplyDeleteI voted early. I'm SO glad we have that in our state. Yes, as authors we're told to stay out of politics to avoid alienating our readers, but it's been very difficult in this particular election. I've spent my time commenting on other people's posts on Facebook.
