"A prince vows to prove the girl he loves is his missing princess by recovering her lost memories."
Prince Trevor has always placed duty to his kingdom above the desires of his own heart. But when his betrothed is lost at sea, he finds himself torn between honor and love.
After four years of searching for the missing princess, he begins to secretly long for Lady Bri, the Woodland Guide he works with each day. But the law says he must marry a princess, and Bri is barely a noble.
When Trevor learns that Bri shipwrecked at the same time and place as the princess, he begins to believe he has finally found his bride-to-be. But his happiness is short lived. Bri has no memory of her past, and the princess wasn't the only girl who disappeared from the ship.Desperate to prove Bri is his princess, Trevor unwittingly places the two of them in grave danger. Buried in Bri's memories are deadly secrets someone wants kept from the light of day, and learning who she is may cost more than either is willing to pay. (Goodreads)
I read and reviewed Waibel's first book in the Princess of Valendria series, QUEST OF THE HART here, which was an awesome book! And honestly, CHARMED MEMORIES was even better :) I love watching an author grow and their world become even more detailed and nuanced throughout a series, and CM definitely did that. And Trevor? Totally beyond yummy :) I loved the setting of this novel, all the complexities of the different families, how they've dealt with loss and grief, and basically how real it all felt. Bri was an awesome character and I loved her strength and sense of self, despite all that happened to her. Honestly, I could gush for a while longer but I'm just going to say that you definitely need to read this one!!
The best part, Charmed Memories is available today!! Grab a copy if you get a chance!
I second! Go forth and read! ;)
ReplyDeleteHeck yeah!! :)
DeleteThanks Meradeth and Erin!!! So glad you enjoyed both books!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the next!!
DeleteYes!! MORE, MORE!! :)
DeleteSeeing an author grow as a series continues just gives you the warm fuzzies inside, doesn't it? :-)
ReplyDeleteDammit, Meradeth. I'm about to get annoyed with you. I already bought the book you recommended yesterday... and now you're pushing me towards another one today? Sheesh. So many books are already waiting their turn on my Kindle it's ridiculous, not to mention the books I picked up at the books store, and ... (sigh) Good thing I made all them millions selling my book, eh? (Right!)
ReplyDeleteOkay, okay, so I'll buy this one, too, but only because it sounds good. Everybody needs to read a good romance every once in a while, right? (Right!)
lol, Susan, I'm a major book-pusher!! :) I hope you love both of them!!
DeleteI love this cover and this book sounds SO good. I like that this one is even better than the first. :)
ReplyDeleteThey're both great--you'd definitely love them!
