Adam is at a crossroads.
He has Katie on his mind and Jada in his bed.
Now with the ultimate choice before him, he must decide between fantasy and reality.
Katie's his dream girl, but Jada's his best friend, his partner. As a paramedic, he's supposed to save lives, not wreck them. Yet his failure to commit leaves a trail of heartache in his wake.
Things come to a head at his brother's wedding when a surprise announcement leaves Adam scrambling to pick up the pieces. Sure, women find his shaggy blond hair and aquamarine eyes irresistible. But to him, sex is nothing more than a means of escape ... until it turns into a psychological trap.
His mind is telling him one thing, while his heart is beating another. He's not sure what he wants when it comes to a serious relationship. Sorting out his feelings, he finally comes to a startling realization. He is capable of love.
But what if it's too late? (Goodreads)
I have been looking forward to the end of this series for ages--thank heavens Sullivan writes fast!! The gripping ending of the previous book left me doing a serious "whaaat?" and I was definitely curious to see what would come next. And I totally didn't see it coming, like, at all. I usually can guess pretty well when there's going to be a major twist and figure it out early. Not so here, which was very fun! I'm trying not to give any spoilers, but I was definitely happy for Adam and Jada at the end of this, and definitely enjoyed seeing where their lives went (and a particular scene that took place in a kitchen...all I'll say. It was fan-worthy!). I'm sad to see the series end, but know Sullivan has some other fun books up her sleeve that I'll be enjoying soon!
Have you read this series? Thoughts?
Hmm, I'm not going to lie, the description of this book doesn't make me want to read it at all. He sounds like a tool. :-P Just not my kind of read.
ReplyDeletelol, I promise there's a whole lot of fun in redemption! :)
DeleteThe ending of book two blew my mind! I loved it. So of course I couldn't wait to read I Am Yours. And again, Faith surprised me. I just can't predict where she's going to go next and I really enjoy that about her writing.
ReplyDeleteBravo for Faith!
ReplyDeleteSeries - did you say - series. I had to fan myself just reading the blurb. I think I found my guilty pleasure book for this winter's cabin trip.
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely a series! Check them out--they'll make for awesome cabin reading! :)
DeleteOoh thanks for sharing your review, Mer! I have the first and the second book in my Kindle and I'll get the third then read at on go. Sounds like this was a fun series. Love it when things work out in the end! :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely think you'll like these, Cecilia! :)
DeleteOh my gosh! I just finished the second book and I'm so ready for this one!! I didn't read your review because I don't want to know anything before I read it, but the books before this were so good! I hated and loved how the last book ended, if that makes sense!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see where this book takes us!
Michelle :)
(I just reread my post and, geez, can I use anymore exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!?) :)
I can't wait to hear what you think of the last one!! :) (And you know I'm seriously the exclamation point queen!)
DeleteI haven't read the series, but I'd like to. I've been seeing her books around.
