I stood to the side of the pool table and held my breath. The only ball left on the table was the eight ball and it was Brody's shot. He leaned over, lined up, took aim, and let it go. The ball rolled effortlessly and perfectly into the right corner pocket. "Yeah!" I shouted with glee. We'd won. I couldn't believe it. Ten minutes ago we'd been four shots behind Jimmie Allen and Shelby.
Brody tossed his pool stick on the table and hugged me, laughing and spinning me around. "Kayla will be picking you up shortly, so we'll have to hurry."
I should've known Kayla would be involved in all of this. She loved to plan parties and surprises. I could only imagine what she was going to do or where she was going to take me.
"See y'all later." Brody waved over his shoulder and led me outside. I started toward his truck, but he stopped me. "Nope, we're walking."
"We are?"
He simply nodded and took off around the side of the bar. I had to run to catch up with him, and even once I did, I had to jog to keep up his pace. "Jeez, Brody, you think you could slow down a little?"
"How about we stop?"
I drew a deep breath and nodded. I didn't know why I was breathing so hard. I was in good shape. Maybe it was because that one can of beer was already affecting me. I felt a little dizzy as I looked around. We were standing in a small clearing with four wooden benches organized in a semi-circle. In the center was a statue of a man holding a rifle, and I grinned.
"Remember this place?" he asked.
"I do now." I laughed. A year after the Corbins had moved away, Brody and I dated for a few months. This is where he brought me on one of our first dates. It was also the place I had my first kiss—ever. If anyone had told me at the start of my freshman year of high school that Brody Nash would be my first kiss, I would've had them committed. "Did you bring me here so you could kiss me again?"
Brody laughed. "Do you want me to?"
"Oh God, no!"
"Ouch!" He clasped his hands over his chest and stumbled back as if he'd been wounded. "That's harsh, Ali."
I laughed. "Brody, I'm sorry, that's not what I meant." Boy did I feel like a jerk, but I did not want him kissing me. It was bad enough that Levi and Tucker were both kissing me whenever they felt like it.
"I know. I'm just teasing." He walked toward the statue and waved for me to join him. "Let's get a picture."
We stood in front of the statue and Brody took a picture of us with his cellphone. He showed it to me. "Not bad. Send me a copy?"
"Yup. Now, c'mon, we've got to get back before Kayla arrives. You know how she hates to wait."
"Thanks for this, Brody. It was fun," I said once we made it back to the bar. Kayla pulled in a second later.
"No problem, Ali."
"Let's go, girl. I've saved the best of last." Kayla's green eyes sparkled with mischief.
Kayla definitely saved the best for last. Head on over to Aria Kane's blog to find out what it is and to collect your next clue!

The Georgia Corbins by Kara Leigh Miller
Ali Philips never thought anything could be more devastating than the day Levi and Tucker Corbin, her two best friends—her only friends—moved away. Three years passed without a single phone call, text message, or email from them and she’s resolved to the fact that she will probably never see them again. Until one morning when she comes face-to-face with Levi Corbin in physics class.
Little does she know, the Corbins have returned to Haldeen with only one thing on their minds: winning Ali’s heart. Ali soon finds herself in the middle of a love triangle she doesn’t want any part of. As she tries to reclaim the friendships she’s lost and to adjust to the unfamiliar feelings she’s having, she struggles with making the one decision that will forever change their lives: Levi or Tucker Corbin?
She’s always had a special bond with Tucker and feels most comfortable when she’s with him. But Levi brings her to life in a way she didn’t think was possible and makes her feel things she didn’t think she would ever feel. Torn between the two, Ali is certain of only one thing–by the time it’s over, she’ll lose one of her best friends.
